This error may occur on systems with overclocked CPUs, such as Intel 13th/14th Gen Core K-series i7/i9 processors, due to a known compatibility issue. Temporarily downclocking your CPU can resolve this.
- Temporarily downclock your processor.
- Restart your computer.
- Launch the game again from the HoYoPlay Launcher.
Situation 2: Standard CPU Configuration
If your CPU is not overclocked, use the dedicated repair tool to fix the extraction error.
- Restart your computer.
- Download the repair tool: StarRail_HoyoPlay_Repair_1.2.5.zip.
- Extract the ZIP file to any location.
- Run the .exe file to automatically perform an extraction check.
- Once complete, relaunch the game from the HoYoPlay Launcher.
