The Wish system includes guarantees to ensure you receive a 5-star item within a set number of wishes. This wish counter, or "pity," resets as soon as you obtain any 5-star item from that specific banner type.
How the Guarantee System Works
Situation 1: Character Event Wish
You are guaranteed a 5-star character within 90 wishes. When you receive a 5-star character, there is a 50% chance it will be the featured promotional character. If you receive a 5-star character that is not the promotional character instead, then the next 5-star character you win is guaranteed to be the promotional character.
It is important to know that the two Character Event Wish banners share the same pity count and guarantee status, so your progress carries over between them.
Situation 2: Weapon Event Wish
You are guaranteed a 5-star weapon within 80 wishes. The first time you win a 5-star weapon in this event wish, there is a 75% chance that it will be one of the promotional weapons. If the first 5-star weapon you win in this event wish is not one of the promotional weapons, then the next 5-star weapon you win is guaranteed to be a promotional weapon.
The system functions as designed, and the probabilities listed on the Wish details page are accurate. You can review your complete wish history from the past year by navigating to Wish Records in the Paimon Menu. Please allow up to one hour for these records to update.
