How can I fix slow download speeds in the HoYoPlay launcher?

If you are experiencing slow download speeds, you can try manually updating a launcher component.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Completely exit the HoYoPlay launcher. Ensure it is not running in the background by checking your system tray.
  2. Download the updated component from this link: sophon_1.3.3.184_os.zip.
  3. Locate the launcher's installation folder by right-clicking the HoYoPlay desktop shortcut and selecting Open file location.
  4. Unzip the downloaded file and copy the sophon.dll file from the extracted folder.
  5. Paste the sophon.dll file into the HoYoPlay installation folder. When prompted, choose Replace the file in the destination.
  6. Relaunch HoYoPlay and check if the download speed has improved.

If the issue persists, try basic network troubleshooting, such as restarting your router, using a wired connection, or temporarily disabling your VPN or firewall.
